Amanda C. Wolfe is a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group, representing both private property owners and municipalities in land use and zoning matters. With more than a decade of experience working extensively with municipal planning and zoning boards, Amanda offers clients a well‑rounded perspective that allows her to anticipate challenges, navigate approval processes efficiently, and deliver practical, results‑oriented solutions.
Amanda regularly represents private residential and commercial property owners in land use and zoning matters before municipal planning and zoning boards. Her experience spans a wide range of projects, from homeowners seeking approvals for additions, accessory structures, or swimming pools to businesses and property owners pursuing significant commercial developments and expansions. She works collaboratively with owners, developers, and their professional teams—including architects, engineers, planners, and other consultants—to guide projects through every stage of the zoning and approvals process, from strategic planning and application preparation through hearings, resolutions, and post‑approval compliance.
A significant component of Amanda’s practice involves representing municipal planning and zoning boards—experience that directly benefits her private‑side clients. She currently serves as counsel to the zoning and land use boards for Berkeley Heights, Chatham Township, Chester Borough, and New Providence, advising on land use decision‑making, statutory compliance, and regulatory obligations. Having worked closely with municipal officials and professionals, Amanda understands how boards evaluate applications, address community concerns, and interpret development regulations. She leverages this insight to help private developers and property owners present stronger applications, minimize opposition, and reduce unnecessary delays.
What truly sets Amanda apart is her dedication to client service and the way she works with her clients. She is known for being highly responsive, thoughtful, and proactive, and clients consistently note the difference her approach makes compared to other counsel they have worked with. Amanda takes a hands‑on role in every matter, communicates clearly throughout the process, and remains focused on helping clients feel supported and confident as they navigate complex land use and zoning issues.
In addition to her land use and zoning practice, Amanda serves as court‑appointed counsel and guardian ad litem in Union, Essex, and Somerset counties, roles that reflect the trust placed in her judgment, professionalism, and advocacy.
Amanda is also an active educator in the land use arena, regularly teaching and presenting on zoning, planning, and related topics for planning officials and bar associations throughout New Jersey.
