(Equity Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A.): Chris’s primary practice areas over his 25+ year career are land use and zoning; commercial and residential real estate sales, leases, and financing; commercial and residential real estate development and redevelopment; electric vehicles; commercial-scale solar energy; commercial-scale electric battery storage; retail liquor licenses; and environmental law.
Throughout New Jersey, he has obtained numerous real estate development approvals for many millions of dollars’ worth of projects, closed many sales totaling millions of dollars, and prepared a great deal of many high value and long-term leases. His major client business areas include small to mid-sized businesses and individuals, as well as larger companies that need local counsel legal work, primarily in New Jersey, including commercial and residential real estate developers, commercial and industrial property owners and tenants, warehouses, shopping centers, restaurants, bars, hotels, gasoline stations, wholesale fuel suppliers, convenience stores, electric vehicle charging stations, solar energy providers, commercial electricity storage, and wireless telecommunications providers. Chris regularly appears before NJ municipal Planning and Zoning Boards, in addition to other governmental boards and agencies.
Chris was appointed by the NJ Supreme Court to the District XI Attorney Fee Arbitration Committee for several years and served as Chairperson. In addition, he was also for several years a member of and served as Chairperson of the Branchburg Township Zoning Board of Adjustment. He also has held several other local government and community association elected and appointed positions. In addition, Chris was a NJ Superior Court, Civil Division, trial level Judicial Law Clerk for Hon. Christine L. Miniman, J.S.C. and later a Staff Attorney in the Central Appellate Research department of the NJ Superior Court, Appellate Division.
