Irem Dogan

Irem Dogan has extensive experience working with corporate and individual clients to obtain U.S. visas, permanent residence and citizenship. She develops immigration and compliance strategies and manages immigration programs for a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 500, mid-size, small and start-up companies across a variety of sectors; religious and academic institutions; hospitals; non-profit organizations; and individuals.

Irem provides strategic counsel to her clients on pursuing both short- and long-term immigration benefits and establishing optimal policies that help them achieve their business goals. Her expertise includes filings with U.S. immigration, Department of Labor, and Consular agencies for the recruitment and transfer of international professionals and students; Form I-9 compliance and auditing; and advising on the immigration implications of corporate restructuring. She has an adaptive approach that is tailored to her clients’ needs spanning both high-volume and high-touch immigration environments.

Prior to joining the firm, Irem was a Partner at a New York-based firm where she helped lead the immigration practice’s thought leadership efforts on trending topics of interest to clients regarding the evolving landscape of immigration law. She also previously led an immigration practice at a boutique firm, preparing immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and applications for various cases and preparing clients for USCIS interviews. During law school and upon graduation, she worked at a large immigration firm, where she focused on complex employment-based immigration matters. She has devoted her career to the practice of immigration law.

Irem earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and received her B.A. in International Studies from the American University, School of International Service in Washington, D.C. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association as well as the Turkish American Business Association and the Turkish Women’s International Network.
