Law Clerk
Nicole Portú is a law clerk in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group where she provides support for individuals and companies navigating commercial and civil disputes across multiple industries.
Nicole has experience preparing legal documents, conducting legal research and legal analysis, and drafting memoranda for several practice areas.
While attending Rutgers Law School, Nicole has served as a law clerk for a mid-sized firm in New Jersey and as a Summer Associate with Norris McLaughlin, P.A. She is a member of the Rutgers Minority Student Program and served as the 1L representative for the Association of Latin American Law Students. She has also been a member of the Student Bar Association. Additionally, she worked as a clinical law student at the Rutgers Education and Health Law Clinic, where she provided free legal representation to low-income parents of children with disabilities in areas such as special education, early intervention, and school discipline matters.
Nicole received her B.A. from SUNY the University at Buffalo. While earning her undergraduate degree during the pandemic, she worked as a remote legal intern and worked for the Malalao Sports Foundation as a United Nations Online Volunteer, organizing a fundraiser in response to COVID-19’s effects on Zambian youth and producing promotional materials to help communicate the foundation’s goals.
