Associate
Steven Hobbs is an associate in the Firm’s Real Estate, Finance, and Land Use group where he represents lenders, borrowers, buyers, and sellers with a variety of commercial real estate transactions.
Steven focuses his practice on complex Real Estate Finance transactions, including loan documentation, closings, and lending matters. He brings a unique, business-oriented perspective to his real estate finance practice, informed by his prior experience working on the lending side of the industry. Before entering private practice, he held roles at both institutional and agency lenders, where he supported the origination, closing, and ongoing administration of complex commercial real estate loans. Steven assists clients in commercial transactions, including mortgage financings and acquisitions and performs comprehensive due diligence, including title and survey review and organizational analysis.
Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Steven was an associate at a New York based boutique firm where he represented national institutional agency leaders in complex real estate finance transactions under the federal mortgage loan programs.
Steven is a graduate of Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and received his B.S. from Marist College. While attending law school Steven was Solicitations Editor for the Journal of International Business and Law.
In his spare time, Steven enjoys playing golf, watching both the Jets and Mets, and traveling.
