Julie M. Macomb devotes her practice to business, health care, and real estate law.

Julie is actively involved in the day-to-day legal counseling of businesses, including organization and formation, contract drafting and review, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and finance. She works with privately held companies, family-owned businesses, commercial lenders, landlords and tenants, and economic development clients.

In her health care practice, Julie works with hospitals and their affiliated corporations, physician groups, private practices, medical staff, dental and psychology practices, as well as those in the medical cannabis industry. She has experience in general hospital representation, health care mergers and acquisitions, accountable care organizations, clinically integrated networks, and independent physician practices.

Julie’s real estate practice is focused on leasing, acquisitions, commercial lending, and land use and zoning matters.

Julie handles liquor law-related issues, including the sale and purchase of liquor licenses, and provides transactional counseling. She works with clients including distilleries, wineries, wholesalers, distributors, and restaurants.

In the area of cannabis law, Julie drafts municipal zoning ordinances to include new cannabis uses permitted by law and works with health care systems on issues of physician and patent compliance, best practices, reimbursement and fee issues, and medical staff guidance. Julie has also moderated several presentations on cannabis law relating to banking and insurance issues, leasing/real estate, and tax/accounting considerations.

Julie sits on the Board of Directors of the Downtown Allentown Business Alliance and serves on the Board of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW).   Julie is on the Board of Directors of Community Music School and the Board of Managers of The Bach Choir of Bethlehem. She has been recognized in Philadelphia Magazine as a “Rising Star,” a distinction for lawyers age 40 and under or who have been practicing for fewer than ten years, and reserved for no more than 2.5% of all attorneys in Pennsylvania. In 2017, Julie was honored by Lehigh Valley Business as a “Woman to Watch,” an award for someone age 30 or under who is stepping up to help shape tomorrow’s Lehigh Valley. In 2019, she had been honored by Lehigh Valley Business as one of their annual “Forty Under 40,” which recognizes young professionals who exhibit talent and promise and have a well-documented track record of achievements in business.
