Michael J. Wise focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters before federal and state courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His practice includes contract disputes, construction disputes, matters involving fraud and fiduciary duty violations, shareholder oppression claims, and consumer disputes. Following graduation from law school, Michael completed two judicial clerkships in the New Jersey Superior Court. He first served in the Law Division, Camden Vicinage, as clerk to the Honorable Richard F. Wells, J.S.C., and then in the Appellate Division as clerk to the Honorable William E. Nugent, J.A.D. Michael’s judicial clerkships provided him exposure to dozens of litigations from the full spectrum of possible disputes in the commercial context and otherwise.
While in law school, Michael was a staff editor on the Rutgers University Law Review and his student piece was selected for publication in the annual State Constitutional Law Symposium.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Michael served six years in the New Jersey Army National Guard, where he completed a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
