Matthew R. Sorrentino Presents Sponsorship Check at Benefit Awards Luncheon
Matthew R. Sorrentino, Esq., Member of Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino, the Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., presented a $12,000 sponsorship check at LifePath’s 12th Annual Thanksgiving Benefit and Awards Luncheon held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Fogelsville, PA. The award for the 2009 Lehigh Valley Community Service Award was presented to David M. Jaindl and the Outstanding Parents Award was presented to Judy and Terry Iasiello. Rose Bowl and Super Bowl Championship-Winning coach, Dick Vermeil served as the keynote speaker for the event, sharing professional and personal advice to the room of professionals. Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino is proud to sponsor an event that provides a forum for raising awareness in the Lehigh Valley of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Sorrentino spoke on behalf of the entire firm to congratulate the recipients of this year’s awards and presented the sponsorship check.
LifePath, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides quality services to people of all ages with developmental disabilities. It has more than 100 established community living environments and program sites in Bucks, Berks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, and Northampton counties. Those programs serve nearly 1,200 individuals annually, providing specialized services in an environment of respect and dignity. Sorrentino focuses his practice on health-care, general corporate and business, and real estate law. In addition to being a member of the firm’s Management Committee, he currently serves as Lehigh County solicitor, managing a staff of 18 full- and part-time staff attorneys for the County. Sorrentino has served as lead counsel in numerous real estate and commercial acquisition transactions involving institutional health-care providers. He has led the development and implementation of the Lehigh Valley's major health-care joint ventures including MRI centers, ambulatory surgical centers and several medical office buildings.
Sorrentino serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Society of Health Care Attorneys and has been a member of the American health Lawyers Association since 1982. He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1975 and his A.B. from Muhlenberg College in 1966. He is admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, 1975 and the United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit, 1985. He has been a member of the Northampton and Lehigh County Bar Associations since 1975.
