    The New York office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome Naureen S. Rashid.  She joins the firm’s real estate and litigation groups.

    Rashid, a resident of New York City, spends the majority of her time handling administrative and regulatory complaints filed with New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal, New York City Department of Finance and Department of Buildings.  She has extensive experience handling both residential and commercial non-payment and holdover proceedings.  Rashid also advises clients on real estate purchases and other financial investments. Her clients range from condominium and cooperative boards/associations to property managers, property owners and financial institutions.  In addition, she has also worked with low income housing developments, including HDFC’s and net-lessee’s managing city owned properties.

    Rashid earned her J.D. from St. John’s University Law School and her B.A. from Hofstra University.  Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate representing clients in various civil, housing and commercial litigation matters. She has also worked at the Center For Court Innovation and the New York City Housing Authority in various management roles.
