    About the Presenters

    David L. Adelson

    Adelson has over 30 years of litigation and healthcare law experience and represents a wide array of healthcare professionals and medical practices. His practice includes a broad range of health law litigation and administrative legal matters in New York and New Jersey with concentrations in the fields of professional discipline, hearings and appeals related to professional misconduct, private and public insurance audits, fraud and abuse, audit refund requests (private, Medicaid and Medicare), HIPAA, employment matters, and IPRO inquiries.

    Adelson has successfully defended physicians in investigations before medical boards including OPMC, SBME, and OPD, as well as in private health insurance billing audits, civil Medicare/Medicaid audit/fraud claims, physician privileges, insurance fraud and abuse, RAC audits, OIG matters and MACRA. He has litigated numerous healthcare matters and defended sizable audits against some of the largest national healthcare insurance providers.

Vozza also regularly defends health care professionals before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and the Office of Professional Discipline.   • Sep 09, 2019Lana Ros Appointed to District XA Ethics Committee for East Morris and Sussex Counties

    Svetlana (Lana) Ros, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the District XA Ethics Committee for East Morris and Sussex Counties. Ros will serve a four-year term from September 1, 2019, to August 31, 2023.

    The District Ethics Committees investigate and prosecute ethics cases involving New Jersey attorneys with all members performing several duties. Members participate in regular monthly meetings and investigate grievances docketed by the committee. If the initial investigation finds grounds for a formal complaint, the matter is heard by a panel of committee members comprising two attorneys and one public member. The committee is supported and overseen by the Office of Attorney Ethics, and any recommended sanction is reviewed by the state’s Disciplinary Review Board. Final discipline is imposed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, which reviews sanctions recommended from below.

    “I am honored to be appointed to the Ethics Committee for East Morris and Sussex Counties. I look forward to volunteering my time to serve and protect the integrity of the Bar,” said Ros.

    Svetlana (Lana) Ros, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been named Secretary of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Health Law Section. As Secretary, she is responsible for assisting the leadership team to handle correspondence and manage the section’s yearly schedule of events.

    The NJSBA Health Law Section keeps members informed of frequent changes in laws and regulations affecting the provision of health care services through publications, programs, and conferences, such as the annual Health Law Symposium to be held this year on Friday, October 4, in Iselin.

    Svetlana (Lana) Ros, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been named Co-Chair of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee for the Somerset County Bar Association (SCBA). As Co-Chair, she will be responsible for coordinating and organizing CLE programs for the year, including the association’s annual CLE Marathon Day.

    Andrew D. Linden and Svetlana (Lana) Ros, Members of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., will be panelists at the Cannabis Labyrinth Workshop Friday, May 3, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., at The Imperia in Somerset. This first-ever educational workshop is being hosted by Upper Rung Center, a nonprofit community development corporation, in collaboration with the New Jersey Cannabis Business & Technology Institute.
