Jill Lebowitz, a member of the Bridgewater-based law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been named to the Steering Committee of the US Meritas Trusts & Estates Practice Group. The Committee members will work together to decide the direction of their practice group and the substantive initiatives they want the group to undertake to remain relevant and valuable to all members

Lebowitz devotes her practice to estate planning, trusts and estates administration, and counseling tax-exempt organizations. She is experienced in drafting estate planning instruments and counseling individuals and families regarding estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, philanthropic planning, and the development of both simple and complex estate plans. In addition, she handles all aspects of trust and estate administration, as well as fiduciary litigation. Lebowitz is President of the Greater Middlesex/Somerset Estate Planning Council and Vice Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. She earned her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law—Newark, and her B.A. from New York University.
