The Labor & Employment Practice Group, George Hlavac, Edward Easterly, and John Buckley of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. P.A., are proud to present “Employee Handbooks and Policy Construction” on May 23rd. The seminar will review the benefits of an employee handbook as well as the dangers of a poorly or improperly drafted one. A handbook is the first line of defense for an employer; despite this, updating it is often postponed due to more pressing projects or issues. The employer needs to make sure the handbook is up-to-date with current laws in order to be protected when a legal issue arises. Join us for tips on how to draft an effective employee handbook, a review of essential policies your handbook must have, and tips on keeping it up to date.
This program has been submitted for recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute and SHRM Certification.
