Harassment in the Workplace: How to Prevent and Handle Claims of Harassment
Norris McLaughlin, P.A., and George Hlavac, Edward Easterly, and John Buckley of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group are pleased to invite you our complimentary seminar, “Harassment in the Workplace: How to Prevent and Handle Claims of Harassment.” This seminar is designed to help employers, namely human resource professionals and business owners, understand what constitutes harassment (hint: it’s not just sexual harassment!), how to prevent claims, how to investigate and handle claims if and when they arise, and how to avoid legal liability. Discussed will be the difference between harassment and merely an unhappy workplace, what constitutes an effective harassment policy, how employees and supervisors should be trained, how to conduct an effective investigation, and how to implement prompt measures to remediate harassment. We will also address frequent mistakes employers make when handling claims of harassment, which includes issues of retaliation. For your convenience, we are offering the seminar on two days at different locations. If you have any questions, please email , or call 610-391-1800.
