NJ Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Raises Over $4,000 for Toys for Tots
Bridgewater, NJ (December 20, 2011) – The New Jersey Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers raised $4,087.00 for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program this year. Gunnery Sergeant Jack Santelli accepted the check on behalf of Toys for Tots at an AAML meeting held December 5 at Steakhouse 85 in New Brunswick.
“The Chapter is extremely pleased that it was able to raise substantial funds for the benefit of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. We could not have achieved our goals without the support of our board, members, and friends of the Chapter, who generously donated their time and resources,” said Madeline Marzano-Lesnevich, President of the NJ Chapter and partner at Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich, L.L.C.
“Toys for Tots is a great and simple way to spread some holiday cheer this year to those who are less fortunate. It was my pleasure to be a part of the efforts of the New Jersey Chapter of AAML and support such a worthwhile cause,” said Jeralyn L. Lawrence, a Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., who organized the event and serves on the Chapter’s Board of Managers.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute them as Christmas gifts to needy children in each community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope that will help these less fortunate youngsters to become responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. Since 1947, the program has distributed more than 420 million toys to more than 196 million underprivileged children.
