at NJSBA Annual Meeting and Convention

Bridgewater, NJ (May 6, 2010) – Six Members of Bridgewater-based law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., the Honorable Jack L. Lintner (retired), Edward G. Sponzilli, and Jeralyn L. Lawrence, will speak at New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Annual Meeting and Convention, which will be held Wednesday, May 19 to Friday, May 21, 2010, at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.

Lintner will be one of the speakers for “Civility Matters,” which will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on May 20. This seminar is hosted by the Civil Trial Bar sections of the NJSBA, along with the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law and American Board of Trial Advocacy. Speakers will have a discussion of why civility is important, not only in building and maintaining one’s reputation, but in becoming a successful practitioner. The panel will comment on a DVD produced by the American Board of Trial Advocates, which includes insights from leading judges and lawyers across the nation and features scenes from prominent movies portraying lawyer conduct.

Sponzilli will be one of the speakers for “Hot Tips for Hot Litigators,” which will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on May 19. This seminar is hosted by the Civil Trial Bar Section of the NJSBA, along with Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.

Lawrence will also participate in a Family Law Track seminar hosted by the NJSBA Family Law Section. The panel entitled “New Rules and Law and the Impact on Our Practice” will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on May 19. The panel will discuss impact of recent revisions to the Court Rules, newly enacted legislation and case law decisions on family law practice. A judicial panelist will provide the perspective from the bench.
