The Norris McLaughlin Food & Beverage Law Group has been busy with industry events this fall. We recently attended The World of Latino Cuisine Food Products and Beverage Trade Show at the Meadowlands Expo Center. The event included educational sessions and culinary demonstrations. This year’s event welcomed 120 exhibitors from 12 countries and the opportunity to sample and learn about unique and diverse cuisine. The event included a reception honoring Alfonso Pérez of Twin City Supermarkets and César and Flor Morales of Peruvian Imports as brand innovators and pioneers of the industry. Also recognized was La Fe Foods brands for 50 years of serving the Latino market.
Coming up next is the NJBiz Food & Beverage Summit, which Norris McLaughlin is proud to sponsor. The six-hour event “features exhibits, information sessions, panel discussions focused on the changing landscape of economic and workforce development within the Garden State’s food industry.” The agenda includes access to food, beverage, and service company exhibits throughout the day; presentations by Rutgers’ Food Innovation Center’s Co-founder and the Commissioner of the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development; and three panels, “Navigating the Challenges on the Path to Economic Growth,” “Innovation and Incubation: Investing in Trends Shaping Food,” and “Educating the Future Workforce of New Jersey’s Food Industry,” the last of which my partner, Danielle DeFilippis, will moderate.
