For the last decade, Norris McLaughlin matrimonial attorney Amy L. Kruzel has been working on much-needed fundraising and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). She began by joining the organization’s Team in Training, and today she is recognized as a top volunteer fundraiser and a mentor to other volunteers. Kruzel was recently selected to represent the Lehigh Valley Chapter of LLS as an All Star Candidate in the Man & Woman of the Year Campaign, a 10-week fundraising challenge that kicked off on March 31.
Supporters can donate to Kruzel’s campaign from now until June 11 at her personal webpage.
“Amy is an incredible supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,” said Pamela Formica, Area Director, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Lehigh Valley Chapter. “She has dedicated her time to mentoring others through Team in Training, she shares what she has learned by teaching fundraising workshops, and overall is a remarkable advocate for the LLS family here in the Lehigh Valley.”
“The mission of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has resonated with me, and I strongly believe that LLS and the funds that we are able to raise make a real difference for patients of all ages, as well as their families,” added Kruzel. “As a family law attorney, I see firsthand the value that charitable organizations like LLS bring to families who struggle with health crises. The funds raised in the Man & Woman of the Year Campaign go to therapies and treatments that save lives. I appreciate everyone’s support.”
“Amy is a shining example of community involvement,” said John N. Vanarthos, Chairman of Norris McLaughlin. “As a firm, and as her colleagues, we support Amy’s campaign and will share the information with our friends, families, and local communities to give them the opportunity to contribute to this important cause.”
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year is a philanthropic competition to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated individuals in communities across the United States. One former Man and Woman of the Year candidate is chosen to represent their local market as the All Star Alumnus for that fiscal year. All Stars conduct their own campaign with their personal fundraising team. The male and female All Star who raises the most funds during the campaign are named the National Man & Woman of the Year All Stars in July.
