About Mo Bauer
A resident of Long Valley, Bauer is a member of the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Group at Norris McLaughlin. He represents debtors, creditor committees, banks, and other secured creditors, trade creditors, and landlords in Chapter 11 proceedings. Bauer has also been appointed by the Court as a Chapter 11 trustee, a liquidating trustee, an assignee for the benefit of creditors, and a bankruptcy mediator.
In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Bauer has represented banks, equipment lessors, and one of the nation’s largest utility providers in commercial foreclosure and commercial collection matters. He has been an instructor for the New Jersey Skills and Methods Course and the New Jersey Bankruptcy Inn of Court, and a panelist for the annual New Jersey Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Conference, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and local bar associations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Bauer has been involved in civic activities as a corporate advisory board member of Homeless Solutions, Inc.; and a board member of Team for Kids Foundation, Inc., a non-profit that provides funding for children of low-income families to play team sports. He is Vice-Chairman of the Washington Township, Morris County Zoning Board of Adjustment, and has served as President of the Jewish Center of Northwest Jersey.
Bauer is included in the Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law section of the current edition of The Best Lawyers In America and the Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights section of New Jersey Super Lawyers, including selection to the 2019 New Jersey Super Lawyers Top 100. He earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.S. from Dickinson College.
