Norris McLaughlin, P.A. Attorney Successfully Defends Client in Carbon County Trial

Allentown, PA (December 5, 2012) – Saleem Mawji, an Associate at Norris McLaughlin, P.A., and a member of its Litigation Department represented Douglas Hawk in a lawsuit alleging assault and battery. Hawk was named as the defendant in Savacool v. Hawk. The Plaintiff alleged that he suffered a broken back and a head laceration at the hands of Hawk. Mawji successfully asserted that Hawk acted in self-defense. After hearing testimony from the parties, their spouses, and a state trooper, the jury unanimously decided in favor of the Defendant.

“I am glad that the jury understood that my client acted appropriately given all the circumstances,” said Mawji.

Mawji, a resident of Orefield, devotes his practice to complex commercial litigation matters, health care law, and government investigations.
