Norris McLaughlin, P.A. Welcomes Associate to Pennsylvania Office

Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome Matthew B. Andersen as an Associate.   He joins the firm’s Business Law and Liquor Law Practice Groups.

As a business lawyer, Andersen is involved in the day-to-day legal counseling of businesses, formation of business entities, general contract matters, corporate restructurings, lending, and shareholder disputes.  In his liquor law practice, he works with brewers, wholesalers, distributors, restaurants, and hotels to obtain and transferring liquor licenses and comply with liquor regulations and laws, as well as to provide transactional counseling.

Prior to joining the firm, Andersen served as law clerk to the Honorable Stephen G. Baratta, President Judge, Court of Common Pleas of Northampton County, and was a summer associate at the firm in 2014.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bar Associations, and the Northampton County Bar Association.  Outside of work, Andersen is on the Young Professionals Council Development Committee of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.  He is also an assistant lacrosse coach at Parkland High School.

Andersen earned his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012 and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2015.  While in law school, he was Executive Editor of the Business Law Journal, Editor-in-Chief of Juris Magazine, and Competition Director of the Appellate Moot Court Board.  He was a judicial extern in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania and a judicial intern for the President Judge of Northampton County Court of Common Pleas.
