Sandra Jarva Weiss, a Member of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., and Chair of its Health Care & Life Sciences Practice Group, has been named to the Advisory Council of the School of American Ballet (SAB) in New York City.
For over 30 years, the SAB’s Advisory Council has promoted awareness of the school and increased its influence throughout the country. The Council comprises of more than 50 members with a common passion for dance, who meet twice a year to help inform the continued growth and provide scholarship support for young dancers. Jarva Weiss focuses her practice on the structuring of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic affiliations of health and health-related businesses, and the development of imaging centers and ambulatory surgery centers. She has designed numerous compliance programs and counsels clients on compliance matters. Her practice also includes all areas of health care regulation, including compliance with the Stark, Anti-Kickback and False Claims statutes; Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations; HIPAA and HITECH requirements; and Joint Commission standards.
Jarva Weiss earned her J.D. in 1983 and her B.A. in 1980, both from George Washington University.
