“Michelle is known for her thoughtful approach to service, going above and beyond for her clients and taking the reins on mentor program events in our NJ office,” said David C. Roberts, Chair of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. “We are grateful for her leadership not only in the firm, but in the surrounding community, and are proud to congratulate her on this accomplishment.”

Scanlon is a frequent speaker at senior living facilities, hospitals, and support groups. She provides estate planning and elder law presentations for the SCBP and the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Elder and Disability Law Section, of which she is the Legislative Coordinator, to promote the importance of proper Medicaid/Medicare practices, power of attorney, wills and estate plans, and other applications and documentation crucial to the aging process. “Mariya’s work ethic and commitment to clients speak for themselves. She brings clarity to complicated workplace issues and approaches every matter with purpose,” said Roberts. “Her dedication to the community mirrors the standard she sets in practice. We’re proud to congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.”

Gonor joined the firm as one of their youngest non-equity Members and continues to provide quality work and dedication for her involvement in the firm and her clients. Gonor maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented victims of Domestic Violence during Restraining Order Hearings with the Partners for Women and Justice and Rachel Coalition. She has also served as pro bono in-house corporate counsel for the Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps, providing critical support to nonprofit organizations. Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, Gonor brings a client-focused, solutions-driven approach to every matter she handles.
