Stephanie S. Spangler, an Associate of law firm Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been selected to participate in the New York City Bar Association’s 2019 Associate Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute selects 60 diverse associates from some of the City’s top law firms for thorough career advancement and leadership training from March 6 to May 17.
Surrounded by a high-level network of City Bar members, participants will have the opportunity to attend eight training sessions covering leadership and career advancement topics including, leadership and management skills, building your personal brand, and leveraging your network. Spangler focuses her practice on trademark and copyright litigation, prosecution and enforcement. She appears in state and federal courts and before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in opposition and cancellation proceedings. She counsels clients in industries including startups, technology, food and beverage, and arts and entertainment. She is a co-author for the firm’s trademark, copyright, and unfair competition law blog, More Than Your Ma®k, and the firm’s Cannabis Law Group blog, Legally Grown.
Spangler earned her B.A. in International Studies from Emory University in 2005, and her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Communications Law in 2010. During law school, she was Articles Editor for Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal. She is the former Development Chair of Cardozo’s Black, Asian, and Latino Law Students Association Alumni Group and is part of its mentoring program for 1L law students.
