  • May 31, 2017Amy Kruzel Named to Advisory Council Member of Allentown YMCA

    Amy L. Kruzel, an Associate in the Matrimonial & Family Law Group of the Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has been named to the Branch Advisory Council of the Allentown YMCA.

    The ultimate mission of the YMCA is to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  The Allentown YMCA participates in the YMCA AWAY Program, the YMCA Military Outreach Program, and Healthy Kids Day, and offers health and fitness, aquatics, camping, family, childcare, community development, arts, and sports in its facilities.

    Kruzel represents clients at trials, hearings, conciliation conferences, support conferences, de novo hearings, and settlement conferences.  She drafts answers, briefs, complaints, counterclaims, memoranda, motions, petitions, custody stipulations, agreements in support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and property settlement agreements on behalf of clients.  She also presents oral argument in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, Eastern District, and mediates divorce, custody, and support matters.

    Kruzel earned her B.S. from Dickinson College in 2002 and her J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, in 2005.

    During college and law school, Kruzel was afforded unique opportunities that helped solidify her strong desire to practice family law.  Specifically, she interned at Edward Duthie Solicitors Firm in London, England; served as a protection from abuse advocate at Mid Penn Legal Services; and was a student attorney at the Dickinson School of Law Family Law Clinic.  While in law school, Kruzel was a research assistant to Professor Richard F. Storrow.

    After graduation, Kruzel served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Patti Margherita Worthington in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, from 2005 until 2007.

    Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Kruzel was a Partner in a law firm where she represented clients in divorce, support, custody, and protection from abuse matters.  She had also was appointed as a Parenting Coordinator in high conflict custody cases.

    Outside of work, Kruzel volunteers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and serves on the Executive Leadership Board.  She also teaches Positive Conflict Resolution & Mediation Skills at the Easton Area Middle School.

    The Pennsylvania office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome Amy L. Kruzel as an Associate.   She joins the Firm’s Matrimonial & Family Law Group.

    “Amy will make an excellent addition to our team here in Allentown.  She brings with her more than ten years of experience in this area of the law.  She is diligent and compassionate.  Our clients will be in good hands with her by their side in any matrimonial or family law matter,” said Lauren L. Sorrentino, Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. and Chair of the Pennsylvania Matrimonial & Family Law Practice.

    Prior to joining the Firm, Kruzel had been Partner at Saltzman, Gordon & Kruzel where she represented clients all aspects of family law, including divorce, support, custody, and protection from abuse matters.

    Kruzel earned her B.S. from Dickinson College in 2002 and her J.D. from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2005.  Following her graduation, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Patti Margherita Worthington in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, from 2005 until 2007, when she relocated to the Lehigh Valley.

    Outside of work, Kruzel volunteers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and currently serves on its Executive Leadership Board.  She is also involved in teaching Positive Conflict Resolution & Mediation Skills at the Easton Area Middle School.
