Associate
Daniel “Dan” MacLane is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group where he represents clients in litigation matters, including commercial litigation and other corporate and business disputes.
Before joining Norris McLaughlin, Dan served as a law clerk to the late Honorable Lisa P. Thornton, A.J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, and subsequently to the Honorable Marc C. LeMieux, A.J.S.C. In this capacity, Dan drafted legal opinions and conducted legal research every motion cycle on a variety of civil and criminal matters. In particular, he gained valuable experience in Actions in Lieu of Prerogative Writs, the Open Public Records Act, and the Law against Discrimination. He also interned for the Honorable Stephen Petrillo, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Special Civil Part.
Dan earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Seton Hall University School of Law and served as the Business and Publication Editor for the Seton Hall Legislative Journal, Vol. 46. He also received his B.A., cum laude, from Rutgers University. While attending law school, Dan worked as a student attorney for the Center for Social Justice at Seton Hall Law School and was a founding member of the Seton Hall Law Legal Design Lab, which seeks to provide self-help legal resources to individuals who may not be able to afford an attorney.
