A letter from our Chairman regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19):
On behalf of the attorneys and staff at Norris McLaughlin, P.A., I extend our best wishes to all of our clients, colleagues, and the residents of the communities where we live and work as we all grapple with how to react, adjust, and progress during this global health crisis.
Norris McLaughlin, like many of our law firm peers in the industry, has been closely following developments from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To better serve our clients and to protect our attorneys and staff, we empaneled a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Task Force to keep abreast of and study the developments and make recommendations to Firm Management related to best practices for our collective health and welfare.
Among the many decisions to consider is whether to resume normal business operations at our various offices. At present, all of our physical office locations are closed to the public in response to Executive Orders issued by the Governors of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, but we have implemented technology and resources for our attorneys to work remotely, so we expect limited (if any) impact on our ability to serve the needs of our clients.
Recognizing that transparency of information and advice about this health crisis is paramount to stopping the spread of the virus, we are pleased to launch this Norris McLaughlin Coronavirus (COVID-19) Preparedness Resource Center. Here you will find links to critical information, updates, and best practice directives from the WHO, CDC, the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and many of our experienced attorneys. We will continue updating these materials and resources as necessary to ensure we are communicating the most current information and advice.
We also want to ensure your confidence that we are here to support you. Our multi-practice approach to client service combined with the geographic location of our firm has always contributed to a strong value proposition for our clients, but it is especially true during this time of crisis. Staying up-to-date on the coronavirus is vitally important, so you can rest assured that we’ve got your back when it comes to the broad range of legal issues you and your business may be facing, including:
- Insurance Issues and Disputes
- Labor and Employment Matters
- Health Care Matters
- Real Estate/Landlord-Tenant Concerns
- Banking and Finance Issues
- Business Continuity Design/Implementation
- Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights
- Distribution and Supply Chain Contracts
- Virtually All Manner of Business Litigation
We know it’s not going to be easy to weather this crisis, but you’re not in this alone. Norris McLaughlin is committed to doing all we can to attend to the health and well-being of our colleagues and doing our part to slow the spread of the virus in our communities, all while being available to support you and your businesses during these challenging times.
Please take care of yourselves and be safe!
John N. Vanarthos, Esq.
