Associate
Devin T. Russo is an associate in the Labor & Employment and Executive Compensation and Employment Strategies practice groups. He concentrates his practice on labor and employment litigation matters, including unemployment, discrimination, whistleblower retaliation and wage payment.
Devin has experience representing clients before the Department of Labor and in civil litigation, litigating cases involving the New Jersey Wage Payment Law (“NJWPL”), New Jersey Wage and Hour Law (“NJWHL”), Conscientious Employee Protection Act (“CEPA”), FMLA, New Jersey Independent Sales Representative Rights Act (“NJSRRA”), Worker Misclassification, Pierce, and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (“NJLAD”). He manages the discovery process for cases and regularly handles dispositive motions, mediations, negotiates settlements and prepares finalized agreements.
Before joining Norris McLaughlin, Devin worked as an associate at an employment law boutique in New Jersey where he gained experience with the New Jersey Appellate Division and Supreme Court.
Devin earned his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law and received his B.A. in political science from Seton Hall University. While attending law school, he served as a legal extern with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, gaining valuable insight into regulatory procedures and compliance, as well as administrative, employment, and environmental law.
