Nicholas F. Pellitta Named a Member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys

Bridgewater, NJ (March 22, 2011) – Nicholas F. Pellitta, a Member of the Bridgewater-based law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has become a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys ("NACUA").

NACUA's purpose is to enhance legal assistance to colleges and universities by education attorneys and administrators as to the nature of campus legal issues. It has an equally important role to play in the continuing legal education of university counsel. In addition, NACUA produces legal resources, offers continuing legal education programming, maintains a listserv and a variety of member-only web-based resources pages, and operates a clearinghouse through which attorneys on campuses are able to share resources, knowledge and work products on current legal concerns and interests.

A resident of Flemington, Pellitta has substaintial experience in a variety of legal areas in both federal and state courts. He has represented colleges and universities for more than 20 years in areas such as tort claim defense, police litigation, civil rights and student discipline. Pellitta obtained his J.D. from New York Law School in 1985 and received his B.A. from Rutgers College in 1982.

Pellitta is also President of the Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) Board of Trustees and a member of the Raritan Valley Community College Foundation.
