Nicholas Pellitta Named Chairman of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce

Bridgewater, NJ (February 8, 2011)– Nicholas F. Pellitta, a Member of the Bridgewater-based law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., was named Chairman of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) at the Annual Meeting and Dinner Dance on Friday, February 25, 2011, at the Grand Colonial in Perryville, New Jersey.

“I am looking forward to continuing the work of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce as the new Chairman. It is a great honor for me to hold this position and contribute to the business community in such a meaningful way,” stated Pellitta, who previously served as Vice Chairman and Legal Counsel to the HCCC.

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is a pro-active partnership of businesses, with approximately 500 member companies, dedicated to promoting a favorable business climate, supporting member companies and providing business leadership throughout the county. The volunteer membership drives the committees and activities of the organization. The HCCC serves as a collective voice for business where and when it matters.

A resident of Flemington, Pellitta has substantial experience in a variety of legal areas in both federal and state courts. He has represented colleges and universities for more than 20 years in areas such as tort claim defense, police litigation, civil rights and student discipline. Pellitta obtained his J.D. from New York Law School in 1985 and received his B.A. from Rutgers College in 1982.

Pellitta is also President of the Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) Board of Trustees and a member of the Raritan Valley Community College Foundation.
