Zeller to Speak to Northampton and Lehigh Valley E License Holders

Theodore J. Zeller III, a Member of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. and Chair of its Liquor Law Department, will speak at E License Seminar hosted by Liquor License Sales PA-NJ in Bethlehem on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.  This program is geared towards E License holders in Northampton and Lehigh Valley counties.

“June of this year, due to the signing of Act 39, has caused Pennsylvania to see dramatic changes.  This seminar will provide an opportunity for members to learn about new advances in the industry and share in camaraderie with their peers,” said Zeller.

Zeller focuses his practice on alcoholic beverage law, commercial transactions including related real estate transactions, and litigation.  He began his legal career as a litigator and has tried multiple cases in county and federal court, including jury trials, and hundreds of cases before arbitration panels, district justices, and administrative law judges.  Zeller was lead counsel in a beer rights case brought against the world's largest brewers, and serves as outside general counsel to Yuengling Brewery and Brewers of Pennsylvania, among others.

Liquor License Sales PA-NJ finds buyers and sellers of liquor licenses in the Eastern and Central area of Pennsylvania and throughout all of New Jersey.  They represent a wide range of alcoholic beverage licensees in all segments of the industry, from national restaurant chains looking in different areas to expand their business, to individuals who may be looking to fulfill their dreams of owning a bar, restaurant, or other business requiring a liquor license.

Zeller’s lobbying efforts helped to modernize parts of the Pennsylvania liquor code, and he has authored numerous provisions that have been enacted into law.  Most recently, his efforts helped change brewery regulations to allow for tap rooms.  In addition, he counsels clients on the acquisition of liquor licenses on the open market and coordinates liquor license transactions with other practice areas, such as real estate, corporate and business law, financing, tax law, and litigation.

Zeller earned his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1989 and his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University in 1992.
