    When facing complex workplace challenges or business disputes, clients turn to Mariya Gonor, Co-Chair of the firm’s Executive Compensation and Employment Strategies Group, for clear, actionable guidance. Mariya works closely with employers and employees to address critical employment issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations under state and federal laws.

    Clients rely on Mariya for assistance with sensitive corporate investigations and navigating intricate compliance requirements. Businesses also seek her experience to resolve high-stakes commercial litigation, from contract disputes to insurance claims and antitrust matters. As a trusted advisor, Mariya provides practical counsel on contracts, employment policies, and navigating government applications for grants or licenses.

    In addition to her client work, Mariya is deeply committed to pro bono service. She has represented victims of domestic violence during restraining order hearings through Partners for Women and Justice and the Rachel Coalition. She has also served as pro bono in-house corporate counsel for the Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps, providing critical support to nonprofit organizations.

    Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, Mariya brings a client-focused, solutions-driven approach to every matter she handles.
