Hi, I’m Shana Siegel. I’m the Chair of the Elder Care and Special Needs Group at Norris McLaughlin.
Is elder law focused exclusively on Medicaid planning and real estate?
Elder Law is so much more than Medicaid planning. We work with families to develop estate plans to ensure that their wishes are honored and to appoint someone to step in if they can’t make their financial decisions or they’re unable to make medical decisions. We help seniors and individuals with disabilities understand the programs that they might be eligible for. Like the VA, Social Security, Medicare, PAD, and DDD. We guide our clients through the long-term care process. We also help seniors and vulnerable individuals protect themselves from exploitation.
About the Norris McLaughlin Elder Care & Special Needs Law Practice Group
Our experienced elder care and special needs law attorneys go beyond traditional planning to address the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities by assisting them in long-term care planning, guardianships and conservatorships, special needs advocacy, and end-of-life planning. We address the financial burden of the cost of care by advocating for our clients and maximizing their eligibility for government benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Veterans’ benefits. We also assist our clients in locating appropriate care, as well as coordinating private and public resources to finance that care.
