Nicholas Pellitta Receives the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Award
Bridgewater, NJ (March 12, 2014) – On February 28, Nicholas F. Pellitta, a Member of the Bridgewater-based law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., received the 2013 Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) President’s Award at the Annual Meeting and Dinner Dance. The award recognizes individuals and organizations that are engaged in and supportive of the mission of the Chamber.
“Nicholas F. Pellitta has been dedicated to the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce for many years. It was with great pleasure that I presented this year’s President Award to him for being an active member of the HCCC, including serving as legal counsel, chair of numerous committees, a long-standing member of the Executive Committee, and Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board of Directors,” stated Christopher Phelan, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber.
The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is a proactive partnership of businesses, with approximately 500 member companies, dedicated to promoting a favorable business climate, supporting member companies and providing business leadership throughout the county. The volunteer membership drives the committees and activities of the organization, which serves as a collective voice for business where and when it matters.
A resident of Flemington, Pellitta has substantial experience in a variety of legal areas in both federal and state courts. He has represented colleges and universities for more than 20 years in areas such as tort claim defense, police litigation, civil rights and student discipline. Pellitta earned his J.D. from New York Law School in 1985 and his B.A. from Rutgers College in 1982.
Pellitta is Chair of the Raritan Valley Community College Foundation and a member of the Hunterdon Prevention Resources Board of Trustees.
