Norris McLaughlin Welcomes Michael Townsend to Litigation Group
The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., is pleased to welcome Michael Townsend as an Associate. He joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in New Jersey.

About Michael Townsend
Townsend concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, providing strategic advice to individuals and companies in commercial and civil disputes. He has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in shareholder lawsuits, including corporate governance disputes, breach of fiduciary duty actions, fraud, and disputes arising from the management of alternative entities such as partnerships and LLCs. He also has experience handling white-collar criminal matters, including representing companies facing government investigations into alleged securities fraud.
Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, Townsend was an associate at a litigation boutique, where he worked on complex commercial cases from inception to trial. Prior to that, he was a litigation associate at a large New Jersey-based law firm.
Townsend received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. While attending law school, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Lois H. Goodman in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He also worked as a legal intern at a Washington, D.C. think tank, where he focused his research on issues of criminal justice reform.
